How do you do a "standing-start-launch?"(Like the quicker 0-60 time that is posted in Car and Driver magazine) This is for manual transmissions. What rpm, etc?
probably the easiest thing for you to do is rev to about 2k and dump the clutch. if you bog the rev alittle higher and keep going until just before you spin too much. as you get better you'll learn to rev to about 4k and slip the clutch to get maximum acceleration all the way through first gear while on the verge of slippage.
Does dumping the clutch hurt your car? It must not hurt it that much since most of the people on this site do it all the time! I put the smiley in the wrong place.
