Default 04 Cobra vs 01 SS

We raced 3 times

Probobly the sexiest SS I have ever seen. It's orange, no idea what the name of the color is. Man, that car was beautiful.

Anyways.

It had headers all the way back, with dumps under the car. Extremely loud. Some sweet tires, and a killer driver mod. Had a lid. Non-LS6 intake.

First race...

1st gear roll till 125- Running 3000 in first gear, he honks it off and we go. We are neck and neck, I hit second, grip the road, pull a fourth a car. I hit third, pull a half a car. I hit fourth, another half. We shut it down. I'm barely a full car up.

Second race...

He wants a 2nd gear this time.

2nd gear roll till 125- Running 3500 in second gear, he honks it again. I run it to redline, slam it into third, pull a fourth a car, run it to 6500 again, smash fourth, pull a half car. We let off with me almost a car ahead.

Third race..

1st gear again till 120ish- Running 4000 this time, he blows the horn we rull throttle it. I get horrible traction, and have to maintain control. I grab second, spinning again. Run it to 6500, neck and neck with him. Slam third gear, pull a fourth a car, bring it all the way to redling, throw it into fourth, and i'm off, another half car.

His car was amazing, and loud. I loved it. With his intake we should be neck and neck, if not him pulling a little.

04 Cobra- Short shifter, Straight pipes.

SS- Headers all the way back with dumps.
Short throw
Awesome tires
Incredible Driver Mod
True Duals.

Ican't believe how amazing this cold air works for forced induction. It feels like I gain 40hp when it's in the 20's.

Cool race...I honestly would've expected you to pull him a little more than that. Sounds like he's LT's with true duals and a lid. If that's all I would guess around 340-350 to the ground. I guess him being lighter helped out. As for the weather I know what you mean. I dynoed a couple months ago and it was maybe 45 out. The uncorrected numbers were around 40 RWHP higher!!!

Good runs, tires can definitely help from a very slow roll.
If it was bright orange it was a '99 and it's called Hugger Orange (HOSS, for Hugger Orange Super Sport).
If it was darker then it's Sunset Orange Metallic (SOM), my favorite F-body color.

I'm sure after that race hes gunna go home and order a cam and some heads.lol

The LS1 can be made loud but IMO the firing order on the mustangs makes the exhaust sound better. I wish you could get the same tone out of a chevy.
