Hey guys I just got my stang back in november, and living in iowa with all the snow, rain, bad weather etc, its hard to beat on her without going sideways. Anywho, the only race ive done with her was just the other night. My girlfriend and I went to galesburg IL for a little road trip to a steak house, cigar shop, and some antique stores. Anyways. Moral of the story were in a 40mph zone and theres a dodge neon R/T. I pull up along side of him, drop it into d, and accel abit. Were neck and neck both doing 40, with a wide open stretch of road, no cars ahead of us. He floors it, and i look at my gf and say hold on. When he floors it, hes half a car ahead of me. No honks, no nothing, just him going. I hear his 4inch fart cannon and then i floor it. I FLEW by this guy, by the time i hit 70, i was a full car ahead on him.

I dont know much about dodges nor the neons nor the r/t, but this thing was slow as hell.

So grats to me for my first "race" in the stang, if you can call it that lol.

 

So what do you have and what mods?? I had an 03 R/T and from a roll it done pretty well.

 

You had a Stratus or a Neon R/T?

He raced a Neon R/T those things might run low 16s

 

It was a Neon R/T. I raced my friend that had a Stealth R/T he ran 15.0 all day and from a dig he would beat me pretty bad, but from a roll he would only put about 1 car on me from 35-95 after that the neon didn't pull too much.

 

My Neon wasn't an R/T but it had the same motor, DOHC 2.0 rated at 150 hp and like 9 lb ft of torque. That thing was slow as *****.

hey ya it was a neon kill. My mods are simple, bbk under drive pullies, magnaflow exhaust with h pipe, "possible transgo shift kit" but im running very well, new plugs wires cap rotor o2 sensors fuel injection service and more.

 

Heck yea! Death to all neons... and srt's! Well most of them anyways
