First race with a real RICER
Ok this was first experience with a true ricer. This FORD Escort was kinda beat up, yellow, black hood, really crappy wheels, and just looked overall bad. He drove passed me and reved up. I kinda just chuckled and kept driving normal. I cruise though downtown and see him again and this time he stares me down and hits the gas. I could hear the BOV as he passed [&:] I got annoyed so I eventually got in front and punched it. He follows me until we hit a clear open two lane street. He slows down to get next to me and punches it again....his exhaust had white **** coming out....smelled nasty. [:'(] So he again lines up with me and I look over and drop it into second and punch it and left him standing there. I wasn't going to race him, but he was damn persistant. Oh well, just wanted to tell the story of my first real ricer experience.

RE: First race with a real RICER
No not yet I plan to very soon. I want to be in the low 14's on street tires. I want to get some runs in before I do the PI swap in the Spring. ON the street I've been able to keep up with 99+ gt's and beat a WRX, SRT-4, and actually beat a LT1(only 1/2 car-length).

Not too many are real quick though, the fastest one ran an 11.72 but kept snapping axles, so he's converting it to RWD.
Mostly they sit in the 13-14 second range with built motors.
