We were on the highway, doing 60-70 or so. We finally got lined up with not much traffic in front of us, he rolls down his window and we give each other a thumbs up. I wait a minute to give him a chance to honk, he doesn't. So I start, one, tw...and he takes off. Immediately puts a car on me. We go to about 115 or so before we really catch up to other traffic and I shut down, at that time he had about two lengths on me.

It turned out actually a little better than I expected. I knew he'd beat me from a roll, plus we started off at a bad speed. (We didn't have a choice really) And considering he jumped me HORRIBLY, I wasn't dissappointed by the two lengths.

BTW, I don't know the guy, and didn't get a chance to talk to him. I'd assume his car was stock.

At least it was a decent race, and I wasn't racing a CV or a skittle!

put some gears in there and you'll def. take him....

 

He must have thought I wanted to go on the first honk... Stock pretty much everything, except catback, X and a whopping CAI I'm an auto too...[:@]

I'm on the local installer's waiting list for gears. I've got an XCal II thats been sitting downstairs waiting for three months now[&o]

02 Automatic GT

 

Nice run, too bad he jumped you. I haven't come across a GT on the highway yet, but from lower speeds, never really put more than 2ish cars on one. They've all been stock or nearly stock.... so far. I'm dreading the day I run into a Terminator.[:@]

 

or at least a GT with some mods....
