So every friday and saturday in north chicago/the north chicago suburbs theres a huge car meet at woodfield mall about 20 miles from my area....and my buddy with a slightly not stock wrx, my buddy with an evo with cams, and a couple buddies with the good stuff (a 5.0, 2 ls1's, an ls2 gto, and a new edge 4.6) all show up lookin to run some guys. So this kid i know introduces me to this guy with a sylvia 240sx thing, and he says he wants to run my buddy with the 4.6. The 4.6 is an 03' with 30k, 3.73's, intake, and borla kit. This guy in the sylvia popped and he was def. n/a and no nitrous i could see, he just had an exhaust system with headers cai intake plenum etc etc and FAT set of d.r.'s. Those cars are like high 15's low 16's stock im pretty sure, so i advised my buddy to take him. So we set up (IN A DESERTED STREET with not even any parked cars for atleast 1/2 a mile, for you anti-street racing guys = ] ), and from a dig the sylvia WALKS my buddy not once but twice. He got very little wheel spin both times, and by 90 there was a good 3 car lengths. My buddy runs high 13's, my question is WTF could a n/a sylvia have to make it just rape him? does anyone have any knowledge of these cars?

its a possibility on n2o but it mustve been hooked up damn sneaky...cuz there was no bottle on the interior or trunk. Oh and the car was gutted with no back seat or spare...but still it couldnt have weighed THAT little. and if it was turbo'd it had absolutely no blow off valves or anything cuz he revved it constantly and i didnt hear anything like a s/c whine or turbo hiss. what about cams/heads? im pretty sure its a 4 tho.

 

LOL at Woodfield Mall, it's ricerville up there. If your new to the Chicago street scene get used to looking for hiddin N2O kits, it's common practice. Where are youfrom?

 

Im from buffalo grove/lincolnshire area. and DAMN STRAIGHT its ricerville, last night out of maybe 65 cars 13 were evos...there were maybe 10 cars with more than 4 cylinders. Im pretty new to it yeah, started out goin there last summer with my buddy with the 5.0. where you from?

 

Thats only 45 minutes from me geez. Alot of my buddies go up to Janesville and race.
