Mustang GT VS ........ ???
The GMC Typhoon was a late 80's to early 90's SUV same as chevy S-10 Blazer. There was also a Cyclone which was the pickup version, They had a turbo 4.3 (or supercharged, can't remember). There was never a 6.1 liter in them. They are AWD and were fast for their time but you should be ablet o handle it no problem.
I had an '06 STI stock except for a tune. Wife has an '07 GT 5spd. at lower speeds STI was gone. 80mph roll on, were side by side. she has a K&N Intake (no tune)and Flowmaster Axle back. ++++ for the GT. I ran a 13.15 on the STI and ran 13.8 on the GT. I did trade the STI for an '07 GT. Tune, Intake and Gears will leave all those vehicles behind specially on HWY. roll ons....
M3 is definately a driver car. as any car with power is. the fastest ive seen in a stock e46 m3 is 13.08. but that same drive may run a 13.5 his next run or a 14.2. ive seen a several 5spd s197's go 14.2 stock, butmine ran 13.52 stock. any car with power is a drivers car. even an awd STI.
uhmmm weird, i had a friend with an 2003 M3 manual tranny and other friend a C5 vette vert automatic, That was a drivers race in the 1/4 mile for real, that M3 properly driven could get ahead by 2 cars of the vette. Being inside the car a lot of times during races (when one car had a passenger we needed to find a passenger for the other to be more even)
If the M3 could take a 350hp car....
I would say the M3 > stang for sure.[&:]
