so i was cruising down highway 54 in my el camino, about to go look at a pickup for sale, when i see a white car out of the corner of my eye trying to flyby. im running about 70 in 3rd (TH350 with 2.4x factory gearing[:'(]), so i floor it, it drops to second and i shut down the flyby. the guy looked a little older than me but obviously shouldnt have picked on me considering im pretty sure he couldnt even hear his own car over mine. nevertheless, we slow down to about 50, 3 honks, and i proceed to pull him to about 5 lengths 120 im guessing. i was at about 4k rpms in 3rd, and with a 6500 rpm redline, that a rough estimate. so i slow down, he catches back up and gives me a thumbs up. i missed my exit, so i took the next one and turned around. im guessing it was a 5 speed fox, had chrome cobra R's and some huge exhaust tips. decent kill in my book.

 

whats in your el camino?

 

300 hp GM Crate with headers, 2 1/2 inch header back with flowmaster super 40's. the 350 has some GM hotcam thats advertised to give 350 hp, but it doesnt feel that strong... it also has a TH350 with a 2800 stall and a shift kit. it consistantly chirps second when it shifts at about 50mph. its got the factory pegleg in the rear with i think 2.41 gears[:'(]. im saving up for either a 9" or a 12 bolt with 3.73's and posi.
