raced a 2000 wrx the other night. he said he had upped the boost to 14 psi, which im not sure what HP that puts him at but he was talkin **** so i put him in his place. from a 2nd gear roll, about 35mph or so to the start of 3rd gear 80ish? i had him by about a carlength, even though i was granny shifting to third so i didnt blow my rear end again.

niiiiice. wrx's can be fast...but nothing special. my buddy is running that exact setup...its quick but nothing huge. I woulda thought u woulda put more on him than that with your mods, but i guess your shift did that.

well i dont have the 4.10s yet and im REALLY trying to take it easy, my 2-3 shift felt like it took a year. for some effed up reason there is a 7.5" rear axle in my GT and i dont wanna keep blowing it up...i think if we went from 35-to at least 100 or so i woulda beaten him pretty good.

lol seriously 7.5? did you buy your car used? cuz it sounds like someone had some fun with the original axle/rearend...and yeah now i understand why you did it. You need to get yourself the 8.8, the 7.5 cant handle the torque...

There was no WRX in the states in 2000, so it was probably an 02-03 model year "bugeye." Stock boost on a WRX is ~13.5 psi IIRC, so upping it to 14 isn't going to make a huge difference. That kid was probably just an idiot who had no clue about his car. Good job putting him in his place

+1 unless it was an RS with Wrx badges(and an added Turbo)

Funny you mention that, a friend of mine through the Subaru community has an RSti.... basically an RS with a full STi conversion: engine, drivetrain, brakes, wheels, most of the interior. The only thing he didn't swap over was the suspension, as he installed a superior coilover setup to the stock STi stuff. Let me tell you, that thing moved, even on the stock engine tune! It's lighter than an STiand atotal sleeper except for the blacked out BBSs and the huge Brembo calipers I'm bored, let me see if I can finda picture of it....
