Respectable 60 ft?
If thats really what I should be running then I have to ask what im doing wrong. I think my best at the strip is 2.2 and my best (yes laugh it up but I compared this to my slips at the strip and it's not perfect but it's usually damn close) on my G-Timer is 2.35 on the un-prepped back road stretch.
All my runs have played out on average like this..
On strip
60 ft. 2.2-2.45
ET. 14.2-14.7
Trap. 96-99 (I think I may have grazed 100 once)
I haven't been to the strip in about 9 months or so, but I have done some G-Timer runs this year and late last year, and so far this year on the G-Timer I have done 102. Now I did notice when I went to the strip with the G-Timer, that the one thing that was most frequently off than anything else was MPH, and it was between 0 and 2 mph off. Which I think is respectable for it being something the size of a cell phone telling me this much data.

The last timeI went was when I finally relized I was sitting at 2500 then "launching" or dumping is more what I would say, And I was prolly spinning for atleast 50 ft. most of the time. I have relized this is a big no no but haven't made it to the track to try out and find a different/better technique.
STOP DUMPING THE CLUTCH. go to about 3k and let it out quickly, but don't dump it. The problem is that you're shocking your drivetrain.Your drivetrain has slack init, then you are hitting that slack by dumping the clutch and it will brak the tires every time.
First, shallow stage
Second, release ever so slightly on the swith between the 2nd and 3rd light, removing the slack in the drivetrain and preloading the car as best you can on a stick, but be carefull not to roll throught the beams
Third. on the last light, (yellow, not green) release. You'll trip the beam just as the light hits green, netting you a great r/t and a very respectible 60ft.
On this technique, I was cutting consistant 1.8 60ft's on street tires, and I'm getting 1.6 on my DR's. (just bolt on's)
If you learn the LEFT foot action a little better, you'll easily get at least a 1.9 60ft.
