I'll also be the first to admit, I have not practiced actually launching on the MT's on the street either in the entire 14K or so miles I've had them.
The other day mentioned in teh story is the first time I've launched hard next to another car doing so that wasn't occuring at the track. I've babied the tires to let them last *while at the same time probably not using them for what they were meant obviously* so I don't have alot of experiance in knowing how good I'm really doing.

I don't know guys, suspension really is not my thing.
It's like investing money that you only see results from when you are at the track, and since I'm never at the track *once to twice a year* I just don't see the point of it.
But at the same time, I see people time slips with 1.9 and even some occasional 1.8 60' times on Nittos and BFG's and I'm pretty sure we can all agree that the tires sitting on the *** of my car are stickier/better than nittos and BFG's as well.
I don't know. I pulled a 2.05 60' once, and most recently at the track a 2.149 *which is stock tire range*
Hopefully up at Milan MI for our MustangForums meet I can impress everyone with a 1.9-high 1.8 range 60' time and rocket into the mid 13's in the 13.4-13.5 range.[>:]

suspension geometry and reduce deflection.
Research "instant center" it expalin some things. BTW I just got 275/50/15 M/T dr's and pulled 4 1.5x 60 foots today, and I got the front wheels about 3-5 inchs in the air, so it's definatly not the tire
I have the same exact tires and with mine i air them down to about 17 psi and slip theclutch at around 4000 on the street, i've had them nearlydead hook in a few instances but ususally have a tiny bit of spin and sometimes bog...But thats with stock gears...
Air them down and go out and practice!

Gonna send ya a PM, but trust me the suspension is worth it. Its fairly cheap and it makes a big difference.
