Well you know what you could do? You could always take the engine out of a wrecked skyline and drop it in your car, then slap a fart can on it and challege him on a drift race down a m ountin side! Now excuse me im gunna go stick my head in the oven...

 

I can't do that, it's not a fastback. That may have been one of the stupidest things I have ever done to a mustang.

 

a 65 mustang isn't exactly what I'd consider a muscle car. If he gets the h22 vtec prelude you might have a better race than you expect. But if its any of the others I wouldn't worry too much, I beat a non vtec h23 prelude in my truck, and its about as slow as they come.

what do you have done to your car 65?
my car is the stock 289 with long tube tri y headers, flowmaster 40s, 650 cfm holley 4 barrel, edelbrock rpm airgap intake, and a shift kit for my c4 auto. its no speed demon but im smokin kids hondas daily. i can beat m ybuddies g35 (auto in triptronic or w/e) off the line to about 40 and then he can take me. so it really depends on ur mods.

 

I've got a 302 with long tube headers, 650cfm holley carb, K&N filter, mild cam, and an edelbrock performer 289 intake manifold. Plus mine is a 4-speed manual so I think it should be a good race. Forgot to mention the glass packs, soon to have electronic exhaust cutouts[sm=badbadbad.gif]
