You bet me to it, as I'm also interested in how you have a heavily modded lease, unless you plan on buying out the lease.

Subaru probably offers a Stage II package, that they install and are hence responsible for if anything break... on a lease there is nothing that says you can't mod the crap out of the car, but once you change somthing and it breaks the warrenty is voided and your ****ed

Lucky dog...makes me wonder though if the SRT-10 vipers are the same way (I know from what people have said that the car itself is a brute....it will beat you up), but as you described doing 0-100 just on the on-ramp, if the same can be achieved with the Viper.
I hear the Viper is more unruly. I was shocked by how manageable the power was. If the car had no speedometer, I'd swear my old Mustang was just as fast. But all I had to do was look at the HUD to see I was doing 100 in no time to know that is was faster than any car I have ever driven. I hammered it a few times and the tires never really broke free. Of course they are freakin' mamouth. I'll post some pics of the car in a few days. It's really sharp looking. Much nicer looking than the base C6 (no offense, C6 ).
LOL...none taken...
The Vipers are the most crammed seating sports car I have ever sat in.....If your six feet or taller....forget it!!!
So I guess the GT500 is off your want list? Congrats on your brother!!! I just wish those ZO6's came with a targa top cause I would trade mine in today as well ( I have to have an open top, but in all honesty the power in the Z makes up for it!!!)...

As far as modding the STi, I have two choices: buy the car out at the end of the lease or revert it back to stock. I have all of the original parts - it's not that big of a deal. I am reluctant to swap turbos though.

My brother's biggest deterent to the Z06 was the lack of a removable top. But he said that the constant rattle of the one in his old C6 (and the repeated unsucessful attempts to fix it) made him realize that it's not that big of a deal. It drove him crazy.

I went to a few dealers looking for a GT500. No one had any and they don't start making them again until next year. I was told that any sitting in inventory are still going for $15k-$20k over list. Screw that. I'd love one, but not at that premium.
