Well I raced the guy last night three times. The first time he just floor it and spun way to much I got him by half car. The 2nd time from a roll he got me pretty good, the last time from a dead stop it was even for the first few secs. then he pulled on me bout a car length but he was gaining on me very little by little. Maybe with gears I would... well I was proud of my stang it was a fun night.

Watch out1 He might have an ls1 swap with a 6spd, friend jsut had 01 ls1 w/ cam swap added to his 92 camaro and he is pumpin 385 to the wheels with just a cam. Them ls1 are pretty quick, But before my friend had a 5spd 305 tbi motor and I waxed him all day long in my old sn-95 mustang(off coarse it had some add-ons). But not much besides the drivetrain...

LS1 swap? The Camaro in this story is a '99, so it already has an LS1. A tranny swap, going from an auto to a 6-speed, would make it a little faster, especially from a roll. Nobody really does that, though.

when I went to the track I lined up against a 02 camaro SS and the best he could do was a 13.5, with a good driver and enough mods I'd guess you could stay next to him
