I stand corrected
about the '05 GT's
While IMO they barely had the hp/weight ratio stock to hit 13's (low trap speeds), and seeing probably a dozen '05 trap between 14.0 - 14.2, I knew they had 13 second potential but not by much. My reasoning being that to get into the 13's stock they would need to get their 60's to at least high 1.9's - which is certainly possible in the right conditions and a good launch, but not really to be expected by most drivers.
At any rate - their was a new GT at the track yesterday. Im not sure what mods, if any, the guy had because he claimed it was stock - and it appeared stock to me. Didn't notice the tire brand although they were stock size (tall sidewall and not very wide). Well the guy is icing his intake for and I see him run a 14.0 flat with a bog off the line - I was like damn he bogged and still ran a 14.0. The guy was talkin some smack to a few folks crowding around his car (them '05's are attention getters lol)... anyways he says he's ran a best of 13.5 STOCK - I just shake my head thinkin the guy is full of ****. Well... the guy lets his car sit for an hour with a 20lb bag of ice on the engine. Gets up and next thing I know dude runs a 13.3 @ 101... b!tch cut a 1.6 60'
WTF - a 1.6 60'!!!!!!! I've got no ****in clue as to how because the track wasn't stickin that good later in the day and I was cuttin 1.8's on Nitto's... and the Camaro running slicks and skinnies and goin mid 11's was cuttin 1.6 60's too... lol wtf a stock suspension and tires '05 GT cut the same 60' as a mid 11 second Camero with a modded suspension and BIG slicks!

Yes I was standing right there when the dude ran the 13.3 @ 101 and was like... wtf how did that happen? a few minutes later I heard he cut a 1.6 60'
The #'s add up, he woulda had to have a 60' like that to run a low 13

There is NOOOO way dude. LOL There was a '05 at my track last Friday and he was running mid to low 14's. He said he was driving the hell out of it and could only pull a 14.14 out of it. That guy HAD to have some mods.
