Default ME vs. WRX

My friend recently got an '06 (i believe) WRX wagon. He's putting on an intake, downpipe, cat-back,ecu, bov, and boost controller. He will be running from 13-17 psi. Later this month I am getting some 4.10's and an o/r x-pipe. The rest of my mods are in my sig (and it is an auto). How would my car do against his from a dig and a 30 mph roll (remember he has all wheel drive)?

He'll be stage 2+ and will put down some decent horsepower if he gets a good dyno tune. The new WRXs are 2.5L as opposed to the previous gens so they're even more responsive to engine mods. Could be very bad for you my friend. As always though, there is always driver skill factored into the equation, so who knows!

if hes running 17 psi...i doubt it will happen. are you stick? if you are and hes running lower psi...drivers race IMO.

I have a feeling that you're not gonna win this one. Especially from a dig. A roll will be a little closer because he won'tget the AWD launch on youbut he's still gonna win.

He said he was an auto in his post.

To the OP, if he gets those mods, your done with unless you get some cams or some nitrous.

The STI runs low 13's stock, the newer WRX's with the 2.5L engine runs low 14's to mid 14's stock. So with the mods this guys WRX might receive will put him easily in the 13's, probably around 13.5 or better. And the OP's car is a low 14 second car at best.

That car will be comparable, if not slightly faster, than a stock STi.
