When street racing, what is the best way to start off the line in an auto?

1st gear?
2nd gear?
In drive?
In neutral while reving the motor then throwing it in drive? (Can't be good for the motor)

First gear and sticky tires. 4.10 gears would help out alot(as long as you can hook up)

If you are good you can manually shift the car, but personally, I would save doing that for the strip. On the street, put it in drive, and floor that puppy.

Stall the converter FTW. Floor the brake pedal, then press the gas down until the R's raise up to the stall point (just before, or without burning the tires), then let the brake go and give the right amount of gas to not burn the tires.

+1 a couple kids my age just got caught street racing here and they are looking at 10 years. just not worth it. track fees are way less than a neg driving ticket (if your lucky)

Dude no way could you get ten years for street racing. Maybe if you killed someone in the process
