Default almost took an ls1

I was goin threw town and i look in my rear view mirror and i see a camaro comin up prolly a 01 or so but there is alot of traffic so we cant do much so it stays beside me and the traffic clears and im in 4th so i drop it down in 3rd and the camaro pulls up beside me and gets on it a lil bit and then slows back down adn we get beside each other again and then he punches so i punch it prolly should have went ahead and dropped in 2nd was atabout 3500 rpms in 3rd but anyways he pulls about a car at first then i end up gettin back beside him and then i end up stayin at his doortill about100 and then the road goes back to one lane so we had to let off... I think i could have done better if i would have went ahead and dropped it down in second

It might of helped, but you would have been shifting back into 3rd about a second after you dropped it to 2nd. 3500 rpms in 3rd puts you at about 5000+ in 2nd. I think you did the right thing. good job man!
