what would it take for a new edge 6 to beat a stock 90 foxbody gt?

Not that much at all, S197's are faster than say a 94-04 with a modded six making 210hp. They have a better front/rear weight ballance and they have a stiffer chassis for better power transfer.

A CAI/Tuner/manual with astiff clutchand a good driver would probably be enough.

 

I should probably mention that the CAI really doesnt do too much on these because the MAF housing is the restrictive point, they cant change that, I think Granatelli is the only place that makes their own aftermarket tube and sensor to avoid that problem.

More may have come along since then, im not really in the S197 game that much. I would have to get one first to care a whole lot about some 60 degree block that im not familiar with.

 

And if I did get one it wouldnt be a six, sorry guys but I have enough sixes and only a couple 8's
