They dont even make manual trannys for them. I used to drive them all the time over summer. They didnt seem to fast at all, if anything i was unimpressed.

GTP's aren't low 14 second cars. Very low 15's and high 14's with luck and a good driver..
yea the stock ones i saw ran mid to low 15, modded in the 14s

"Good driver" ... what good driving skills does it take to drive an auto granprix down the track... getting off the line without spinning much?

my buddy has a 99 gtp and he wants to race- idk we've messed around before but just to like 45 on the city streets it seems like he might pull on me with the supercharger tho. my car is an manual and his is an auto and he doesn't understand the concept of takin off he just spinns. who would win?

P.S. i'm a pretty decent driver

Well that depends on two things.. What shape your car is in and your driving ability. If your stock this will be good...

Stock a GTP is a very low 15 second car@about 90-91 mph...a GT like yours should trap about 92-94... So i think you might beat him..

This would be a good race...Here check out this link....I hope it helps you...Run him and let us know..No harm in trying

Which makes them a better candidate for running consistent times. They make shift kits for them.

Consistantly Slow... Haha, im sure they could be modded to do some damage, as any car especially since it has a blower. But as far as stock... they felt slow (relative to what we are talking about, faster than the avg car).
