try him again from a 30 roll, itll drop to first, and on a stock '86 thats a dead spot at the bottom of second, so hed toast you until at least 3rd gear. they move decently for big cars, my mom has one. im begging my dad to let me put a hypertech, a pulley, some exhaust, and a CAI. it could probably see 300+ flywheel.

It does.... the New 5.3L monte supposively has seen high 13s/low 14s as well as the new Impala SS....

I know a guy with a GP GXP stockthat went 13.6 @ 102mph with just the headlight removed....FWIW with the same engine/fwd layout.

What year? The older ones on the Caprice chassis had LT1's but were heavier than a fat girl at Golden Corral.

<--has a 93 Caprice for his beater

The newer ones aren't light, but not as heavy. They're front wheel drive and either had a blown V6 (same as Pontiac Grand Prix GTP) or a 300 hp 5.3L V8 (as of 05, IIRC).

Either way you should beat them. The LT1 might give you more of a run for your money, but you should still get him.
LT1 Impala has nothing on the new Impala SS.... Low 15s / high 14s (with wind, downhill, etc)

lol well, a 30 roll isnt really good for any car, unless its got a tall first, like the impalas. if you turn the t/c off in my moms car and punch it at anything below 40, it drops to first and almost rips the steering wheel out of your hands. froma dig, my old '86 would have taken it any time. probably from a 40+ roll, too, but anything below that is hard to beat. once the impy's hit about 80 they shift to 3rd and lose alot of pull.
