if there bolts on as in cai and exhaust it should be a easy win.... 6's arnt that amazing unless decently modded
yeah well CAI isnt really a MOD on a sixer,it does absoulutely **** to performance, exhaust and gears are more of a performance adders

i no thats what i mean, if the guy is talking like bolt ons as in simple stuff the 5.0 should win, if he actually has real bolt ons and is running in the lower to midish 15's it should be a hell of a race!

Ive heard of 4.0 cars in the mid to low 15s and 3.8 guys in the high 15 to low 16 range... against a 3.8 you should be be ok I think.
A good driver can get a 4.0 in the high 14's and a 3.8 in the 15.3-15.5 range.
My best so far in my 4.0L/5spd is a 14.701 @ 95.7mph, which I ran at Cecil County last month on street tires, and I am not a good driver (yet!). I do have a few bolt-ons.
14.7 is really good. Did you ever run when the car was stock?
Nope, my first time down the track is still my personal best, despite my best attempts otherwise[>:]

You're going to stomp a mud hole in that little 3.8's ***. I was at the track this friday bracket racing and all of the 3.8 new edges were runninglow17'd, hell even the 4.0 S197's were running high to mid16's, there was a mostly stock fox 5.0 AOD car that I saw click off a low 16 (don't forget that I'm at a very high altitude and these times are way different than you sea level guys). My car when it had a few bolt ons ran a 15.6 up here in thefoothills lol. You have nothing to worry about.
Sh*tty elevation, sh*tty track, sh*tty drivers. Thats what about sums up 16 second 5.0 times and 17 second 3.8 times, and definately 16 second 4.0', LOL.
The elevation actually has the only thing to dowith it. Those kind of times are expected up here.

actually, just being a smart allic here, a sn95 v6 stang can run 14.9 just as you said.

Only the Edge SN95s, the '94-'98s would be lucky to see a 15.9 with Jesus driving the damn thing.
