im wondering if i could take an ss..i never thought it would but i think there is a chance..i have a 300c.i raced 2 ss camaros and went even with them. 1 pulled a lil but coundlt pass me. i raced an 99 cobra with my 300c from a roll about 40 and itsmoked me really bad about 2-3 cars in 4th gear .he chirped in 4th too...i heard 05+ gt's can go even with the 99-01 cobra..but can the gts really keep up wit the cobras from roll i doubt it because that thing was tooooo amazing and he was stock..but if we can keep up we can take the camros.

 

I'm pretty sure the S197 is faster. Don't 99 Cobras run high 13's low 14's?

edit: Wait...can that be right...? I dunno I could be way off.

 

I never raced a SS, but if your talking ls1 there a underated 320hp...And thats if there still stock

 

lmao, the ls1 is about 360HP at the crank and inside of a car much lighter than your grandpa's 4-door.

hay sonic blue it may be a 4 door heavy *** car but it will kepp up or take a stang...i dont car wat u run on the track or wat the times are..my 300c will keep up or take my stang its heavy bt ****in fast..i think this because i smoked my friends g35 with it many times but mustang doesnt beat it like the 300c does.and it has 22 inch rims

I just googled and got this performance spec. on a 2000 Camaro SS

0 to 60 mph 5.3 sec
1/4 mile (E.T.) 13.7 sec

So, are they really quicker than a Mustang GT? Looks like a driver's race to me....
