Default roll on...how to do it

When doing a roll on, how do you know when to go? do you just wait for the other person to hit it? Just curious. thanks

you can go on the third honk, but usually just drop it to a suitable gear and jump. if they go, stay in it, if not, keep taunting them until they do.

Yeah... thats how I do it. Three honks usually about half way into second gear. Then floor it on the third honk.

WTF, my post was deleted...

Anyways, It's not really called a 'roll-on', sounds like your talking about deoderant.

Some people honk 3 times, which is stupid because it's not really fair. I just tell the other person to start whenever the want, I just pay attention to them and go that way. This way I always know they got the slight jump on me and theres going to be no excuses from them when we stop, plus it's fun to come back from a small disadvantage and shift gears at their door and proceed to pull away [8D]

yeah hahaha ive noticed that in like every video ever...the honker always jumps the gun and goes before the third honk, or at least on it at best. i personally dont have a horn, but when i go from a roll i also let them jump usually so on the off chance that i do take them, there is no excuse.

Last night I was out with some guys and I was doing the three honk thing but then when I took off they would just be cruising along while I raced. They later said they couldn't hear my horn because their exhaust drones too loud. The guys I did race, I let them get a bit of a jump and then ran them down. It's more fun that way.
