The car put 260hp to the ground w/ 230ft.lbs. The thing had wicked torque steer but hooked like a mother. Raced alot of cars when I was street racing and one 95% of the races.</p>
I put 8,000 grand in the motor only to have the car stolen, stripped (what was left) and burned. Decided that it was enough for me. I only got enough insurance money to cover the cost of replacing the base car. </p>
The fact that concerns me is you street raced. Why in the hell would you do it?<edited><editID>jeep45238</editID><editDate>37861.6168865741</editDate></edited>

Not really considering I have been driving a much slower car for 3 years before the mustang.</P>
I used to street race when I was young and dumb. We did it kinda safe with spotters and stuff for any side streets on the road. I stopped when F&F came out because every one with a car wanted to be Vin or Paul, there was atleast 2 fender benders a nite after F&F came out.</P>
Never raced the Honda I traded in, don't really plan on racing the stang on the street either. Saving it for the track. The other nite was just to perfect to see how much faster the stang was compared to the honda I had. Never said it was smart or safe. I know it's not.<IMG src=smileys/smiley12.gif border="0"></P>

That musta been one fast import <IMG src=smileys/smiley3.gif border="0">My friend is about to do Type-R valvetrain with a GSR head in his Teg. Your car was n/a? Why the forged pistons and crankshaft?</P>
That's terrible about the theft. Around here, the insurance companies will reimburse you with the aftermarket money, but that means that you've gotta show them the receipts before the car is ruined. Which means my insurance would be through the roof if they knew what this car had under the hood (it still looks bone stock except for the enkei 17s) I knew a kid who had an Eclipse with a 3000 dollar stereo in it, had his s**t stolen and burned to the ground, and he only got money for the car. Insurance companies are gh3y.</P>

Your kinda annoying. So is that big picture in your sig, I don't care what it says, but it'd be cool if you could size it down a lil bit... I'm not tryin to troll, but you should stop preaching. That'd be like me coming in here and being like "Why in the hell would you drive a Ford?" People are always gonna street-race, let the police take car of it and stop trying to be everybody's Grandpa. Slaps on the wrist in a forum don't work too well.</P>
Jeep, matter of fact youre real Fu*king annoying. I am sick of every time I come on here in the RACING section and read your preachings. Youf**ked up by falling asleep behind the wheel and you feel it is your duty to chastize everyone that comes in and has a story to tell about racing. You should get pissed at the guys who fall asleep at the wheel, not street race. People are going to do it.When I get back from the desert, I am going to do it. GET OVER IT. If you dont want to hear that people street race, stop coming into the racing section and stick tosomething a little more your speed, like the off topic. You can say what ever you want, its not going to change a thing. I have seen you unrelentingly harp on people until they leave the board and I amtired of it. This isnt just your platform to bi**h about people/cars and what they do in them. Get a life, get a girlfriend, start a drug habit, do some else a little more constructive with your life and leave the rest of us the f**k alone. </P>
To the rest of you and the initiator of this thread: SORRY, didnt mean to hijack the tread but I figure JEEP hijacks the rest of the threads about racing, something had to be said. </P>
I don't give a rat's *** if you're pissed about a message that people don't seem to ever understand.
If you don't f**kin like it, ignore it.
Hell, if it changes even one person's mind, it's worth it. Later down the road, for all anyone knows, it could save someones life.
That, in my eyes, is well worth it.

i agree your annoying, we all know you are against street raceing so shut up and stop telling us how gay you are...oops how gay street raceing is.

Not problem wei462... I can understand jeeps point and he has the right to state it. Stating to the extent he does...well that is another story...but he can and does and he will continue to do. I respect his choice and what he is trying to stand for. He is not our mom and dad and we don't have to listen. I just respect him for what he is trying to do. And I am sure others do to. But it is somthing that will continue to exist. People die from street racing and I hope we all know and reconize that fact. It is a choice we make on our own to do or not to do. Where we do it and how we do it also makes decisions for others around us, which is not fair. It will always exist, it will never go away, and it will never slow down...
