Sounds like someting is hiding under his hood. But yes 3.73's will wake your car up very quick

 

after you added the mods on your auto without a dyno tune... your check engine light diddn't happen to come on did it? that limits you (even though it happens when swapping mid pipes... but just in case)

and an untuned auto new edge without gears and basic bolt on's... I could see that losing to a well driven M6 G35 by a car or two

 

He probably just learned the car better, or did add something he's not telling.

You definitely need at least a tune with your auto. You gotta get your shift points firmed up and adjusted. Get gears too.

 

1. The first time you guys raced he wasnt very good at driving a stick
2. He has something else besides the mods he's telling you because the mods you listed that he has, dont add much to G35's or 350Z's. Boost or Nitrous or go home with one of those cars.

 

you guys are failing to realize a lightly moddedstock gearing untuned automatic 2V is good for 14.2-14.3 on the norm... 14.1 MAYBE on a cold day...

while the G35 matted to a 6 speed can go 14.3 on a bad day....

Yeah, I think he just learned to Drive this Time Around. When i first got my Car I lost 3 times in a Row to my Friends 98 Auto GT(Basic Boltons and Tune) I just bought the car and nvr drove stick..... Went away to College 5 months, came back and put Multiple Car Lengths on him with same mods... To Driver is a BIG Difference.

 

yeah byt eaven if he learn how to race. that doesnt make him win me with all my mods, nad yes i look under the hood, theres nothing to hide, the start engine light is on since i remove the catalyce converters ,
know i realy think off getting cams and 3:73 gears, but do they by any way effect if my car is DD?

He has nitrous and just knows how to hide it. There's a ton of plastic on those engines so I wouldn't be surprised he went for a sleeper install vs all the chrome and braided lines that normally go with a nitrous kit. Add that with a boxed nitrous tune and anice 50 or 75 shot would leave you roasted.
