race ?
Based on the link posted by bluebeastsrt, I find it difficult to believe that car ran a 13.5 @ 102. It must of been -20 degrees that day with an elevation of -1500', and it had "HUGE" slicks on the back. With drivetrain loss, I just don't see this car with less then 200whp running that quick. Heck, it still weights over 3100pds.
The power numbers could have been under-rated though?? With all this said, I'd probably still go with the Porsche.

Man I would love an old school turbo'd Porsche! It would make an awesome project car. I almost bought a naturally aspirated 2.5L944 in fact about 8 months ago for $8950in GORGEOUS shape...I mean you could literally eat off ofthe stripped / painted interior. Roll cage, the whole 9. Looks like the pics are down sadly
To the OP, if he has a ****ty old clutch there's a good chance you might pull it out. Ima say driver's race on this one too, unless he has some modifications done or the turbah is ****ed up.

With those power levels of each car, I have a hard time seeing this being a 'drivers race'.

The Porsche has 20 hp/tq and the Mustang has 50 lbs, if you dont consider that close enough to be considered a drivers race than you believe in nascar
