Default my first kill

so i was on my way home from work yesterday when this guy in a pontiac grand am pulls up next to me. i dont know if he had the V6 or V8 or if he was stock. i know he had at least a new axle back and his hood was the kind with 2 slots up front to let some air in. anyways, i needed to pull ahead to get into the lane for the free way, still a few blocks up so when i tried, he revved up with me. came to another light, and from there we went. i was 1/2 a car length ahead in 2nd gear but not enough ahead to switch over safely. so i was the bigger man, slowed down and went behind. i consider it a kill cuz i was ahead till i had to slow down.

thought i'd share.

Sorry dude,
But if he ended up ahead of you he wins thats how it works!
Good for you though for thinking safety and maybe your license but he pulled ahead no matter what you reason was for slowing.

grande am's didn't come with v8's,they had a twin cam 4 cylinder and a v6,my brother had a 91 grande am that had the quad 4 ,he bought it new and it was quick with 170 hp but i don't think the 4 or 6 grande am could beat you stock for stock.the grande am gt's had the 6.

OH so by your way of racing ANYONE that loses can simply say...... Oh I just let off.
Yeah why don't you go to the track and see if that fly's!!!
It wasen't a kill cause obvously the guy got on the freeway and sdguy didn't . Hell they other guy can say he had to slow cause he was about to get on the freeway. If he wants to think it was a kill OK.

I wouldn't consider it a kill since the Grand Am driver is probably thinking he won since you didn't get in front. No V8 options for the Grand Am, btw.
Good job not cutting him off though... that takes some will power.

for the record, i did get on the freeway. just behind him. i did pass him on the freeway.

if i was on a quarter mile i would have won, but i needed to get on the freeway and if i switched, my mid section would have hit his front. but this was my first race so if you guys don't consider it a kill then thats fine. i took him up on the offer and the only reason i pulled behind was because i couldn't SAFELY switch lanes. i was ahead until i let off the gas and started breaking to get on the freeway. i dont consider it a loss because if we kept going straight, i would have beat him.

but pperin, i do disagree with the way you view a win. someone has to let off eventually. i was pulling the entire time and he had no chance to catch up.

btw pperin, did you get yours tints done at that place i told you about? how do you like it?
