Default Are choppers fast?

I race the loud harley davidson type motorcycles all the time, and i always win....today I raced one and I was inching away, and when I hit third I was going to pull harder....

I know some of them are stupid fast, but what about the average one you see on the street?

I agree. They are loud and slow. My brother opens up his electric exhaust cutouts and lets them have it right back. He drives an 82 Mustang rebuilt with a 460 in it sticking out the hood lol

for the most part, they arent fast, as they arent built to be quarter mile monsters...

however, ive seen a few in person that ran in the 9s and 10s, that looked like regular harleys...there is a guy near pittsburgh that has a REALLY fast night train (low 9s, IIRC)...and it looks like every other chromed-out bike.

my understanding from the harley owners i know, is that they are not geared to be good off the line, but on the top end, they are like any other bike...there is no weight there, so if they make some power, they should out run most cars.
