Track day Vid
Well here it is its kinda long i didn't have the time or patience to edit it much. But i do have to thank my G/F for filming it all day and not B!tching at me for having her do it. there was a guy in the stagging lanes saying that the air was so thin theAir density was 5100ft like running in CO
i did have a good time taking out my GT tho. The bad thing it that it was so freeking hot out i couldnt cut a good time for crap. But i did run faster then all the LS1's there but 1. they where all in the 14s (lol) the only one that broke the 14s wasone with slicks and he only cut a 13.6. i cut a best Et for the day of a 13.8 @ 97.99 with a 1.90 60ft not too bad for the day but i have cut a 13.57 on a better day with a 1.95 60ft
EDIT: **** i messed the elevation up[:@] 2350ft

I think you keep missing the DA to go with your elevation... at 3200ft I still ran 13.4 stock..... Whatwere the weather conditions??

the Temps where in the Mid to high 90s and it was dry with No wind. From what i was told the air was as thin as running in Denver
as you can see that orange Z28 it was a 6spd had full exhaust and 4.10s and didnt go any faster then a 14.1

Look up the track on Weatherunderground and I will figure out the DA for you..you have to be 5000+ with your elevation and DA together..otherwise it doesnt make sense.

huh??!!?? i put the elevation (2350ft) and what are u taking about?
The weather itself has more of a bearing than you comprehend at this point and time... if you were racing with DA conditions of 3000FT (for example) then you would have to consider that along with your elevation... I physically ran my LS1 times at a track that was 640ft above sea level.... the weather conditions at the time were calculated at 3200DA (another words the air at 640ft above sea level was comparable to the air of a track located 3200ft above sea level).. this is all considering a certain set of standards (temp, baro, etc)... since you are at 2350ft above sea level to begin with you have to consider the DA (either positive or negative) to see how the air affected your times.
make any sense?
make any sense?
In other words , You actually did not run at 3200ft but 640ftASL, I asked a friend that has been drag racing for years and his response to our races on Sunday, were , The weather conditions that day are similar to racing at Denvers mile high track on a good day. I gave him your times and example , And he responded saying your car would be in the mid 14s at KRP , Just like the other similar cars.He also said that the highertheactual elevation the calculations progress and the differences are magnified than at sea level, Because you just have more air down there. I do not claim to fully understand all of it but am getting a grasp of it.
