So tonight I was cruising back to my house after dinner with some friends when a very nice looking black Mercedes CLS55 AMG pulled up next to me. We both had our windows down because it was a warm night. I had my girlfriend in the car and he was by himself. The light quickly turned green so we both took off normally when I looked over and he gave me the nod so I nailed it in first before him and heard him do the same. Right after he hit it I heard his traction control kick in because his engine cut out for a second lol. After that happened I pulled about a carlength in first and on my shift to second he had made up a half a lenth and then all the way through second he pulled his front bumper to passenger door. I held him off through second and then just let off because I had to make a turn and I knew he was going to pass me easily through third. Its always fun beating a car that should destroy you and making the other guy look like an idiot for leaving his traction control on and giving me the jump. My dad has a Mercedes and after driving that around for a while the traction control in the new mercedes really hurts them. Even if the computer senses just the slightest wheelspin it will cut power from the engine to regain control. We only have an E350 with 268 hp and the traction control goes off if you hit it off the line,so I couldn't imagine how the traction control takes away power from the 500hp 500 lb/ft torque CLS55.
