second one of my friends is getting a new evo and says his car will rape mine

my mods are c&l intake, frpp 3.73 gears, diablosport predator tuner and boom tube axleback

i know he would get me off of the line because of awd but would his car really destroy my car???

oh yea...andhe thinks it will go 210mph stock...haha which makes me wonder all of this

 

He thinks its faster than it is but if he's getting the Evo X you probably don't have a chance.

 

They're supposed to run 12.5 in the 1/4. So if that's the case, then yes he'll take you. Just get some nitrous and even it out... oh and no way will it go 210mph.... Enzos barely do that heh

 

im thinkin the one hes getting is the mr edition because he said it was a six speed

and also i have heard that evos fall on their face around 100...is this true???

 

He might be faster, but at least your car does not look like @ss.

I'll believe the 12.5 stock when I see it! They usally run low to mid 13's at the track now and unless they pick up 350HP I doubt they'do mid 12's. I can only speculate from what I've read in magazines but there supposed to have 300HP and weigh about 3500 pounds (same as the current STI) . Who knows how under rated that 300HP will be though??

 

I don't know about the new EVO...but my buddy has an EVO VII with most available bolt-ons short of a bigger turbo...he is putting down a little over 310 awhp (mustang dyno) His best is 12.4 @112 mph at a 3000 feet above sea-level (and that was on 91 octane pump gas). Definitely a mid- to high 11 second car. 210 mph stock?...NO CHANCE! Maybe theoretically not considering wind resistance, gravity,or any other factors that effect us all. If he did a theoretical calclation (some internet sites will do it for you) based on gear ratios and redline...then it probably said 210 mph. After all, if you do it for the gearing in a M6 GTO ...6th gear should allow the GTO to go 246 mph!...How many of you believe that will actually happen? That is right...NOONE believes that.

 

Most production performance cars fall flat on their face at around 140-160mph, unless you start getting into Corvettes, Ferraris etc....but most production sport cars are not at that level of performance. And I'd like to see an AWD drivetrain pull that kinda top speed....turning 2 sets of axles and 4 wheels at those kind speeds is some MAJOR parasitic loss, not to mention aerodynamics. As far as him beating you, if it's an EVO 9 you might have a chance with your mods, driver's race. But if it's a X and they're as fast as they're supposed to be, you'll get shredded. If you want to win for sureI have 2 words for you......dry, shot. OORRRRR......turbo, charger

 

Tell your friend to save the smack talk for when he actually HAS a car to race you in. My buddy has been talkin down to me for the last year about the woopin he is gonna deliver to my GT once he buys a new Camaro. That's a solid YEAR where he basicly would not concede to being slower than me cuz he'll SOMEDAY own a faster car.........despite the fact he currently drives a minivan.

But once your boy does get his hands on the new EVO, you'd better be packing more heat than you do now if you don't want his smack talk to get validated.

BTW, tell your friend to take out his cellphone and get a shot of what 210mph looks like in a street trim Evo............I always wanted to see what a car flipping end over end would look like at those speeds.[8D]
