well they are supposedly giving the 6er 350 flwheel hp so the 6 might edge the gt out but it'd be close

 

I have about 10k miles on the car now, with 8500 being on turbo. Daily driving I have the boost controller to turn it down a notch. No heat issues at all.
I have the benefit of living 80 mins from PH, so the car has been on their dyno about 15 times getting tweaks to it as well as mods. I don't have Fazm's mechanical ability so I trust PH to do all install on the car and keep a/f and such at a safe level.
Being on the stock block, I make sure the car gets checked out routinely. Recently I had the whole turbo unit/wastegate, everything taken off and inspected. Mike @ PH has actually driven the car down the track while datalogging so the depth of knowledge about the car is pretty good.
That being said, with this power level there are some things I will have to watch for. Transmission is a weak link, we are currently pursuing options to beef up the 5r55. The C4 is not an option for me as the main goal is streetability. The car will be getting a build shortblock for the main project this winter. I have made about 60 passes down the track so far this year, so hopefully it holds together for me until the season is over.
I bought my car for about 22k (pony package) and have about 15k +/- in mods (both performance and appearance) Bang for the buck? I will let you decide. Personalized car that resembles (in spirit) my hero, the Buick Grand National? You betcha.
The whole point of this endeavor for me was to think outside the box, to build something not many people do, to have my mustang equivalent of the GN and to show what the stock block can do.
One thing that gets lost in translation sometimes it that it is flat out fun to create your own car. I mean half the fun for me is the build up, the planning, and the results. The other half is the thrill of speeding down the 1/4 mile and being able to share it with my family. The look on my son's face when I beat a 'Vette is priceless.

Currently this is true. But look for Rygen and Fazm to knock me off the perch shortly!

 

not a shop car, everything out of my own pocket unfortunately lol. id love to have a sponser, but at the same time, i like bein a privately owned car for bragging rights.

So fazm, u seem like a guru on this stuff lol. if i get the x-charger, what would psi would be good if i just want a very quick DD. and how much do u think it would be for me to buy the x-charger and any nessesary supporting mods, and have all installed?
