Default New mods!

I was getting a lot of noise in back lately, so I decided to re-do the setup in the rear.

I took out the Auburn Pro, 4.30s,and custom aluminum driveshaft.

I put in a Detriot Trutrac, 4.56 gears, and a JPC driveshaft, getting rid of the clutchpacks in the old diff, going steeper with the gears (steeper than anyone thought was streetable...just like when I went 4.30s two years ago), and shaving 6-7 lbs more off the driveshaft while hopefully eliminating that nasty vibration for good.

Any projections on how this will affect my track times?

I have to go back to my tuner and bump my rev limit up to above 7000rpm in order to still cross the line in 4th (power doesn't begin to drop until 6600rpm anyway [8D]).

With the 4.30s, I'm right at 3000rpm at 80mph.

At 6500rpm:
in second I reach 62mph
third 95ish mph
fourth 120ish mph

Knock 5% off of each of those, and bump the 80mph up to 3150 or so.

Another day, another time. Let's just say that when I do F/I, I'll have less traction with 2.73s than NA with 4.56s.

So I guess you'll have to take out a 2nd mortgage on your house to pay for the gas on your LA to Sac road trips...lol

LOL. I have always love your setup. I love my 3.73 with my turbo, Zero Traction issues. I think a little more help you can get 11's Heck you should be running 12.2 -12.3 with your 4.56
