i wouldnt call LT1's slow. they still keep up with the new mustangs. you gotta remember, the LT1 was developed in 1992. so i wouldnt be bragging too much. its kinda pathetic that the mustangs can barely beat us stock for stock with 15 yr old engine technology.
some lt1's run high 13's stock others run low 14's. really just dpeends on the driver mod and altitude and stuff

new edge mustangs came out in 99.... the 05+ S197 stangs would be a cake walk for an LT1 car... let alone keep up with the LS1

Cake walk?? I've seen numerous S197 cars stuck in the 14s that would have troubles with my old stock auto... (and my first try landed a 14.1).. FWIW I don't know why you tossed up the 'let alone keep up with the LS1

LS1 should go low-mid 13's
S197 should be mid-high 13's
LT1 should be high 13's- low 14's... according to you guys, I've yet to see a stock LT1 break 13's

so if you're going to say an LT1 is a drivers race with an S197... I'm going to say an S197 is a drivers race with an LS1, because each comparison has the same margin
LS1 should go low-mid 13's
S197 should be mid-high 13's

Look at trap speeds and 60ft times between the S197, LS1 and the LT1 guys and it's obvious to me which race is closer.
I beat an lt1 the other night. Im a bone stock vert and couldnt believe it. i beat him by about half a car. It was the closest race ive seen. I didnt even post it because i didnt think you guys would believe me.
