Do you have a auto or manual? Either way i'd get a intake/tune and gears, that should do it or atleast make it a drivers race. Race from a dig, that's a real race. Someone on the street/strip forum said "racing from a roll isn't racing, it's speeding beside another car." LOL!

Your storydoesn't make sense... he let you go3 seconds earlier and he still made up the gap from 40km/h to 140km/h?? He walks you like you aren't moving??? Sounds like you are racing a 10 second car not a low 13... Either that or you got a V6 instead of a V8 lol.

I agree that he should beat you stock for stock, but it should be fairly close. I raced one back when I was stock and he beat me, but it was within 2 cars to 120. I raced a Magnum SRT-8 the other day and held him off until 80 when I shut down (same engine but a little heavier).

I think the SRT LX bodies (magnum, charger, 300 for you non-mopar people) run about a 13.2, and I think they're geared at 2.82 so consider that if you try a highway pull...anyway that's only .3 faster stock, so you're probably just a CAI/tune or gear swap away from showing him that SRT stands for Stomped Routinely by Threevalve...
p.s. I work at a dodge dealer and am ITCHIN to challenge one of our srt8 customers to a race (actually I think our district mgr has an srt8 300 demo...think I'll drop the challenge during her next visit lol)...I wanted to get a license plate that said BYE HEMI but I don't think that would go over too well...

BYE HEMI would be hilarious, especially working for a dodge dealer. They are fast and I had traction issues from a dig but I with 8 psi backing me up I didn't have a problem with the charger, magnum, or jeep.Haven't raced the 300 yet though.

4.30s! damn you're a hardcore racer...well I should talk, my 4.10s + swapping my pirelli 55 series for my nitto 40 series gets me pretty close to 4.30 (goodbye highway pulls, hello quarter mile races)...

The 300 is the faster of the 3...dont know why, cause the charger should be...they run mad 13's...seen them at the track a few times...

I can pull them with my mods, i still have the stock 3.55 gears...
Buts its still a damn close race...their weak points are in their trannies...i'm not talking about the old dodge problems...but the gearing in these new ones, drops them out of the power bnad when they shift...where as a typical auto shifts you right back into the power band, the SRT's drop below it, so tehre is a bit of time before they regain that power...slight, but its enought to get a jump on if you hold out on your shift...if you can...

haha, proly not if your getting 4.30! jebus, i thought 4.10's were low...
