First time drag possibility
Hey everyone,
I'm currently in the process of purchasing a Mustang. It's a 2006, stock from a dealer and I have a few questions. If I can get a car before August 25th I can take it to a drag strip with my uncles car club that I would join. I know the numbers on the car of how fast they go and what they can do, but I want to experience it for myself at a place where I can rip it up legally. My current car that I recently had to retire from driving is a '93 Ford Taurus SHO 3.2L and I loved getting on an open road and just hammering on it and feeling the pull. I'm not sure if its a good idea to do this with a car that I haven't owned for that long, or if I should just go and have fun with it? If anyone has some input I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks. Alex

The SHO cars are surprising. I think just by you asking the question about the Mustang shows you have a respect for the power. By all means take it to the track. If it's your first time hang out with someone experienced. Have a fun day and get use to the car and track. Don't try for any land speed records. If you have any issues with the run LET OFF THE GAS.
SHO = Super High Output. It has a yamaha engine so its not like a regular taurus. For me its a fast car from a dead start if just racing someone off a stop light. The car has slowly costed me more and more money and we only payed $3000 for it to begin with, so I decided its not worth it anymore and thats why I'm buying a stang.
