too be honest I think if it is not a z06 and the 1/4 miles times you listed above are close to accurate you should be fine. I think you will take him if your launch is solid...have 1/4 tank of gas, nothing in the truck including spare..

 

Typically .1 second at 100mph is about a car length or so, but since you're not starting at 100mph and starting from a standstill(dig), 10 car lengths seems fair(providing you drive your a$$ off and your buddy performs true to form as you've described, i.e. being a cocky dude). I'm sure you can take him if you can drive. If you can get a 13.6-13.9(he'll probably be in the low 13s by how you describe him, so you should easily win if this is the case). Best of luck

 

I race a z06 at sacramento raceway about a month ago, my dail in was 13.9 his was 12.8 and I fricking killed him, if you have a very good reaction time, (my average is .05) and he panics you will kill him.

He just had his saleen put on so i'm assuming that was before that when he raced him

 

That was when I was bone stock (even the 3.31's gears) the SC has only been on since Thursday.

Maybe just me ...but I would be embarassed taking 10 lengths against someone.... (Obviously Im not a hardcore bracket racer either) LOL
