HE has intake a catback and a manual tranny. I have a 2k auto vert: intake full, exhaust, ud pulley, tune and sub frame connectors. I started in second with the top down(kinda cocky huh) so I attempted to launch, but ended up bogging like a bitch till I threw it in drive, and he is two cars ahead of me. well im in drive and at about 40 my car roars, well...rasps to life and his pull stops. second comes and im reeling him in rather quickly. By the second half of second he's got a fender. Third comes around and game over for him...I passed him and proceeded to walk away till I let off the gas, due to lack orf road. Mayb modding a V6 wasnt too dumb of an idea. I just cant wait till I can take on actual fast cars

 

Good kill man...Thunderbirds are quick cars. But, can't compare to your torque monster...

It was a Firebird, not a TBird. Depending on the year, that Firebird had between 160 and 205hp.

 

Lol @ tq monster...wait when did I say that...anyway it was a 94pontiac firebird 3.4 V6160 hp and like 215 ft/lb, plus his couple mods...It isnt the most impressive kill, but pretty good considering my crappy driving at the beginning

 

That was a 160HP car, should be able to beat him stock. The 3.8 F-bodies should give you a run for your money, though.

By the way: You can not start out in2nd with an auto. Just put in in over drive and let the trans shift itself. Asyou can see mesing with a auto shifter wasn't benefical. You should have been in front the whole time(launch?). When you go form a stop it going to start out in 1st even if the shifter is in 2,D, etc.

 

Yeah if I start out in 1 ore drive it launches like normal(1 is harder tho) but when I started in 2 I had the worst bog down ever. I held it at 2k and tried to launch and the car was barely moving till I put it in D, then it had to down shift back into first before it took off. It was probably a good 3-4 second 60 ft lol. And yeah when I start in drive he isnt even competition, so I was trying to make it fun for both of us...
