New Silverado SS's don't have 454's. They have 6.0L Vortecs, not the LS2. Maybe he was supercharged.
The SSR that ran 15's used the Vortec 5300 with only 300hp. The LS2 equiped SSR's had 400hp and were much faster.

Well whatever it was you can see his numbers. He certainly got a good jump on me. I would think a truck would be difficult to hook up with the light rear end. I still have the stock Perellis but I didn't spin too badly as I recall.

Yeah it was probably modded. I have the Trailblazer SS, that one has the 6.0 LS2 vette motor rated at 395hp. The newer SS truck has the vortec at 345hp. Some of the older years may have a 454 not sure though. Either way niether get the numbers you posted in your first post stock. Fun to drive though.

Jack, those trucks came in both RWD and AWD. He probably had the AWD.

I have an 02 Avalanche with an 8.1, with the mods that I have put on, I'm pulling well over HP, as fast as my truck is, there is no way it can beat my GT. That truck you raced had to bemodded and most likely had a SC, they make a lot that fit the 6.0 ltr. V8 and they are bad A$$, put a SC in your Stang and you will beat him and be bad A$$ too.
