Nice kill, regardless of the fact that we all knew what the outcome would be. Fact is, the kid was talking crap about a car he obviously knew nothing about and in return got his *** handed to him. Way to represent the 2V's!

Sorry If I offended any 4v-ers'..It was mainly the fact that EVERYwhere I went someone one telling me...he was talking crap about my old 2v.At one point he told another person....he didnt believe it was supercharged because he pulled next to me and reved it,,I did nothing, he didnt hearany whine or whistle....soI was blowing smoke aboutbeing F/I ....
Just for the record Being a Horsepower Freak..I realize throw a Charger on a 4-ver and outcome prob would've been in his favor..For max H.p 4v>2v
Thanks to all the 2v supporters...[sm=smiley20.gif]..

now i understand

i am not stupid enough to talk **** about a car that i know will beat me. but still

you put the same s/c on a stock mach and a stock 4v and the 4v will net almost 100rwhp more

i dont understand how that would be close but ok. and seeing how the 4v will pull so much harder up top
A s/c mach 1 is not going to make another 100 WHP compared to a s/c GT, even stock to stock.

Your NOT putting down 460+ WHP in a stock mach 1 with a blower (stock gt at 8-10 PSI will put down 360 on a good tune) and both cars have basically the same limits WHP wise thru boltons/blower (shortblock gives up around 450).

I can make one hell of a case for going 2v up to around 550-600 WHP. If your going to supercharge a n/a 4v or a n/a 2v you still have to do basically all the same things to make and handle power... that is shortblock, fuel system, rearend, trans, and boltons. The small cost of a few little things like cams etc on the 2v will be more than made up for by the increased cost of the 4v engine or car.

i know a guy in the local area that gets hit car tuned at hi tech and he has a mach with a paxton on it and he mad 617 rwhp out of it. not too shabby for response to the blower in my book.

Hes not making 617 on anything close to a stock engine. The mach 1 rods and pistons are identical material wise to a GT, even if they do have a forged crank. The only difference in the setup is the comression ratio, which is higher than a GT (even worse for FI).

450ish WHP and it goes boom. Make anything more than that on stock motor and its a ticking time bomb just like a GT.

Termys are one thing, but with the GT spec 3650, GT spec 8.8, and GT style fuel tank setup your in the same boat as the 2v guys... a shortblock/fuel system/tranny/rearend away from having anything reliable on 450+ WHP.

ima use kb for instance

a 9 psi 2.1L s/c on a 4v mach puts 462

a 9 psi 2.1L s/c on a gt puts 405

of course we can start swaping pullies and what not

You are not going to make either of those numbers on either car bone stock... at least not on anything close to anaccurate dynojet. Not only that, but you can't say x car makes xxx WHP with any sense of realiblty... too many things such as tuning etc come into play.

No doubt stock vs stock a 8 or 10 PSI 4v is going to outrun a 2v... but its nowhere near 100 WHP and both have about the same limits and the same things that need upgraded. Until you have the thousands invested in fuel system/trans/rearend/etc your no better off in a 4v than a 2v.

We can talk all day abouthow a 4v motor will make more power than a 2v. We all know that factis true but the reality of the story is a 4v guy was talking crap and got his butt handed to him. Maybe next time he'll think twice before he goes and talks smack.
