how can you say that?? you dont know if this car is stock or fully built. i can tell you that unless you are willing to spend some good cash (or credit) those talons/eclipses are not very fast for a turbo car. most dont even make enough power to take advanage of the awd system.

i think the stang would win as long as this talon is not built to the tune of 1500-2000 dollars.

Nope. He said it looks like a newer one which come with the T-25 turbo. That turbo is crap and won't even hold 15psi to redline, let alone 18. Regardless, even on a 1g you couldn't run 18psi without at least having a fuel pump upgrade and some other mods to be safe.

 

Ah my uncle had one it was the older body style though. It was stick and he had boost controller at 18 psi, exhaust, and I think one more thing. But he said he could keep up with ls1's.

Depends on what mods he has.. some kids get cocky if they get a CAI and a big wing on their car. Others only get cocky when it's got some serious cash into it. Being he's younger and doesn't have a really new car.. odds are it's has one or two minor modifications done.

 

He did not do any of the mods if there is any at all, he told me he bought the car for 5,000 and everything came with it. I am not sure if the turbo is aftermarket or not. I'll ask him what year it is and mods and stuff like that and i will let you guys know. Here is a pic of it, it is the best i could get for the time being, quality sucks i know.

 

Well I see a FMIC in that pic so there is a good chance it has a upgraded turbo. Then again it could be a typical kid that puts a FMIC on a stock turbo to look cooler. That is a 2g so if he didn't upgrade the turbo you'll own him. If he has a larger turbo and the car is running up to par, watch out.

**EDIT** Actually, now that I really look at that pic, I guarantee you he has a upgraded turbo. The way the pipes are going into the intercooler would be very hard to do with the stock turbo. He probably has a Mitsubishi 14b/16g variety turbo. Could have a bigger one but those are most common. If the car is running right he will definitely give you a run for your money.

 

If it is stock, I would say you will get him as long as you can launch and find the gears. If modded, you may want to watch out....they can be quick.
