Well I see a FMIC in that pic so there is a good chance it has a upgraded turbo. Then again it could be a typical kid that puts a FMIC on a stock turbo to look cooler. That is a 2g so if he didn't upgrade the turbo you'll own him. If he has a larger turbo and the car is running up to par, watch out.
**EDIT** Actually, now that I really look at that pic, I guarantee you he has a upgraded turbo. The way the pipes are going into the intercooler would be very hard to do with the stock turbo. He probably has a Mitsubishi 14b/16g variety turbo. Could have a bigger one but those are most common. If the car is running right he will definitely give you a run for your money.

A friend of mine beata 97 turbo eclipse turboauto stock with his 97 gt auto and a few mods. But if has mods who knows. Race him and find out..

I had a full bolt on 4.10'ed new edge GT
I ran a 4th gen FWD turbo DSM with some piping and a boost controller.... he ran 12PSI and it was a really close race with me inching him out on a highway roll... then he took hi sboost controller and decider to run 19PSI on a stock turbo and stock injectors
he hit fuel cut about 6 or 7 times.... his car sputtered, lunged and his crank walked on him
this race will depend on if he is like this kid

even if he does beat you, you'll sound better
i say that to make you feel better, i think he's got you. those talons are strong, and even if you win, it won't take him much money at all before he does beat you easily

ok so i talked to him, and it isn't a newer talon, its a 95, he does have an aftermarket turbo and intercooler, i forget what else he said, i think just intake, exhaust and stuff. He told me the guy who owned it before him took it to the track and ran 13's. Yet he still wont race me. Oh and its front wheel drive. Well if he ever races me ill let you guys know what the results are.

Wow!!I still say you will kick his *** if he is stock, they are extreamly hard to launch properly (at least mine was) and they typically run considerably slower timesin the 1/4 mile stock
