Well first off, this Evo punks mom was obviously on crack during pregnancy, and then on top of that the doctor must have dropped him on his melon durning delivery. "you cant launch an AWD car because they will break?" That the main reason to buy an AWD car!!!!!!!! An Evo or STi will destroy most cars out of the hole! If he cant launch an Evo than his driving skills are probably that of Hellen Keller! Go for it. Even if you lose in the end, which you might, the fact that youll probably kill this weiner off the line would be good enough for me! Punks like that **** me off.[:@]

 

EVOs have really weak transfer cases, those seem to be the first drivetrain component to go. They'll hold up OK to a little abuse if the car is in stock form, but if you're doing 7k clutch dumps in any stock AWD car, you're going to find out real quick what the weakest link of your drivetrain is

Most cars don't come from the factory prepared for that kind of abuse. I have heard of stock STis twisting axles at the track due to redline clutch dumps. My axles held up fine at 560+whp, but I also didn't drive like an asshat and always slipped the clutch if I launched it... I'm not as abusive on cars as some people are.

 

Just to be real with you, he will win. No need for false hope. Get your nitrous and get the last laugh.

 

I've raced a 2007 EVO MR, it was stock. Froma 50-125, I put a solid 1.5-2 cars on him. I have intake, tune, and 4.10's BTW

However, he recently put 3500 bucks into it, making 340awhp, and now he puts a good 2 cars on me

I agree with josh..........this guy's case for a win holds no water simply because the Evo isn't even his. Tell him when he gets a car of his own, then you'll race him. I wouldn't set up a race against someone who isn't driving his own car. Just for s**ts and giggles, maybe.........but not for bragging rights. Hell, I could go around talkin mad s**t about my brother's Vette.........but what kind of poser/idiot would that make me?
