I have gone over about 10 different dyno sheets for the new mustang 05+ with the exact kit I ordered, and some were auto, and some manual. The overall average increase is rated at approx. 420 RWHP and 390 RWTQ. I expect to be somewhere around there. Possibly more, because they included for free a diablo tuner, that will give me a nother 20 HP or so, plus my Roush Exhaust, so, I expect to be around 430 RWHP and 400 RWTQ. It should be so fun, I cannot wait.
The Diablo won't give you another 20hp, the guy doing the tuning will extract all of it he can get. Standard rwhp with a good tuner is about 430rwhp and 380rwtq measured with a Dyno Jet. Good luck bud!

How much power can the 3 valves hold. I know the owner of LS1Tech bought a S197 and put a STS kit on it. It made 440rwhp then the motor gave way. They pulled off the turbo, returned it to stock and took it back to the dealship where he got a new motor covered by the warrenty[8D]
Is that with the STS tune or someones custom tune? Sounds like somebody ****ed up. Whipple sells their HO kit with a 10psi pulley that makes anywhere from 450-480rwhp and I haven't heard of anyone loosing an engine on the whipple tune.

What does the STS kit come with as far as fuel setup? You can kill any motor if you run it lean.

Ditto. Sounds a little fishy. First of all it has damn near impossible to get a new motor from a dealership if you've lost one with FI. Taking it off doesn't mean sqaut as Ford is required to have full investigation to any engine warranties as of last year.

I made 526 rwhp on the stock motor with a vortech for a year and 12K miles with no problems at all. The tune has a lot to do with it.

For the OP - congrats and my advice would try to get a custom tune as soon as possible. Every Vortech included tune I have seen was on the rich side and usually made in the 390-410 rwhp range. The vortech is a great set-up and you'll be happy with it. They are pretty good at keeping belts and tensioners on until you get up in the 14+ psi range. Then they take a dump. But you should easily be able to get 450ish out of it with a good tune. Personally, If you plan on being in that range, I would swap out the vortech fuel upgrade you get and think about a Ford GT supercar pump or the GT500 pumps. Another good buy would be to relocate your bettery and get the vortech larger intercooler resevoir. That and a upgraded brass oil feed is a good investment for the vortech IMO.

Finally got my Vortech installed. The guy was awesome. He did a fantastic job. I will have some pics of it posted up a bit later today. Hopefully, in the next week or two, I will have a dyno sheet to post up. The S/C sounds so good. When you start it, you get that beautiful whistle! When you start to drive, you hear that whistle get louder. I love the way the car drives now, and the sound of the vortech. You have to turn TCS off, otherwise when you go full throttle, the TCS will kick in, because in 2nd and 3rd, the tires screech and then in 3rd chirp a bit. On the way home, an RX-8 tried messing with me, and after I hit it, he disappeared in a matter of seconds. Then a Merceds CLK 500 tried his luck, and I put bus lengths on him. I love this thing guys. The cool thing about the kit was, vortech included a diablo sport tuner with a custom tune in it. It alsoincluded a vortech intake kit. I'll make sure I get some vids of the S/C and some pics for you guys. Also, again, I'll do my best to get some dyno's in. Thanks for reading guys!
