Put those heads and their intake on your engine with a nice custom cam and some good internalsand you'll be quicker than most cars you run, then put some spray on it for when you find a faster car
Hmm..from what I hear, the stock 289 heads are pretty ****ty, those heads he showed me would be an enormous difference?

I'm going to see what I have in there...I don't think they're stock..but not sure what they ar e [sm=smiley29.gif]

Edit - I have some...Fomoco? C90E heads sitting in my shed..they're 302 '69 heads from what I see...

Haven't pulled a valve cover to check what's on my stang now..but those 302 '69s..are they any good?

the regular subarus aren't that great, it might be a good race, because remember if you mean high school, when you said school, most high school kids can't drive like a pro, so they leave alot of room for error when shifting and everything.

I went threw the same thing in high school with my 65 mustang. What you need to do is start making fun of him about his daddys car. And even if you get beat ask him if he thinks his car will be around in 40 years like yours. A bunch of rich kids would do the same with me and my old car. they would have new t/a's vettes and etc. Just keep your car and continue building your car for the next few years. Then you will get some respect.

Most factory SBF heads sucked. Ford never really did produce a good head for street performance until the GT40 and the GT40P. Any good aftermarket head will stomp all over a factory head in terms of performance, and those CHI heads, though pricier than most(looking at around $2,700-3,000 for their heads assembled and intake, plus the extra stuff they may need) make a LOT of very streetable power.

I'm going to look into some new heads...

Yeah he'll probably wreck his car by the time we graduate.

About the only added thing to his car is a sticker that says "block"..his last name.. on his rear windshield

Yes, and they give more horsepower if they say the name of the company that does the headwork that you don't have![8D]

Ah not cool not cool

Just wait...I'll have heads soon enough..I hope..

Can anyone help me out...for like the past week, my car will be running just fine, pull up to a red light (with an adult ) and stall...get her started..give a few good revs to blow her out, then she'll run perfectly fine.

But that happened like 4 times in the last week...not sure why I just stall out of no where, but run perfectly fine? Is my idol too low?
