You will lose. I had full bolt ons minus headers on my 04 GT auto and I beat my friends stock one by only 2 cars. Those cars move.

Im a full bolt on GT minus the Plenum and I run side by side from a 50 MPH roll with a Stage II SRT4. I would probably dust them off in the 1/4 if I got good traction.

He meant a turbo upgrade. Of course the SRT4 is turbo from the factory, but if it has the upgraded package it'll be well into the 13s.

I think this one will come down to drivers race, even though you're automatic.

Stock turbo will support almost 300 fwhp assuming you have every goodie you can get, which is good enough for atleast low 13's if not into the 12's with good traction.

Aftermarket turbos can support up to 500 hp on stock internals. But there're only a few of those running around.

I would suggest finding out his mods if you can. If hes stock expect low 14s-high 13s. Also the stock turbo has been known to run all the way down to flat 12s and one guy even hit an 11.8 on the stock turbo. And those stats are just from the guys that participate on the srt-forums. Also I know Ford doesnt make the greatest auto trannys so thats gonna hold you back a lil too. Just read into the car cuz they are easily modded!

I wouln't bet at all. Those SRT4s can move and fast. The auto really worries me. Ive raced some and they really do do good.

The fast ones here have MAJOR traction problems. Run him to 0-70mph and hope he can't drive.

Just make sure his front tires are regular ole street tires.

wow, didn't think this topic was going to be so serious. anyway i was just messing around with the guy which i thought was going to be obvious with the hand comment. i think bench-racing is stupid, why can't yall just run for fun. anyway, many, many stock srt4's (especially 04+) will run high 13s stock. as srtjd mention with the stock turbo many guys have pull 12s. they can be made very fast, for very cheap. so find out what the guy has before you run him.

and jd ... i lurk in the shadows on this site and post here and there (old sn CaTiRo). normally my post are helpful but we just had like several gt vs srt4 threads so i thought i could play around a little on this one. my bad. didn't mean to start anything.
