I think you could gradually edge out a stock one with your tune, etc. Honestly, that would be a d&mn good race that I would love to see.
I dunno man, that RT is putting out close to 80(?) HP(CRANK not Rear wheel for some people) more than the new edge. The GT is also an auto and as far as I hear, those trannies suck.

260 Crank, but it looses noticabley more HP through the drivetrain than a manual does.

You're right it does, but it shouldn't lose anymore thru the drivetrain than an R/T does. Chargers don't offer a manual, and I'm sure their auto sucks equally as much as the GTs.

Its a pretty solid Mercedes tranny with minimal powertrain loss if you look at SRT-8 dyno numbers. Me thinks it's a pretty good automatic. Just needs more forwardgears....

there are no new cars that a really under rated now adays, goverment hit down hard on that one a long time ago, if they make more power on someones dyno then its just inaccurate

I've seen Charger R/T times range from the amazing 13.9-the so so 14.5's

Sounds about right for a good drivers race.

I wouldnt spend the extra 20K over a New Edte that i'd have to spend to buy one, but I suppose if i needed an automatic RWD car with some kick, it might be an option

They cracked down harder on mpg ratings recentlybutunless every dyno in the US is inaccurate, the LS1, Terminator Cobra,Ford GT, BMW 335i and others are still underrated.
