STI's are definitely quick and demand respect. However, no replacement for displacement. I like to compare cars that have about the same amount/type of mods. Turbo the Mustang and race him again

maybe he had some1 sit on the little hump in the middle of the 2 back seats lol....It sucks for that person! Hell i cant even like get any1 to fit in my backseat.

 

Same. Me and possibly one other person. I like to be by myself to keep the weight to a minimum

 

i dont see how you can beat anything with 5 people in your car....thats ALOT of weight

 

stis are six speed, the driver was spending too much time shifting, on the street alot of times you can beat those cars just due to gearing, they shift too often, my car has a turbonetics kit and i still think twice about racing a modded(turbo upgrade) one of those or even worse an evo, my old boss' evo went 11.70 stock turbo, stock cams, street tires, and stock clutch(didnt last long) i come from the import world, this is my first v8 rwd car, ive had quite a few factory turbo cars, my dsm was fast as hell(low 12s) for nothing. problem is theres nothing like the v8 rumble or the torque v8s make.Not to discredit any cars, import or domestic, factory block dsms are reliable to 400hp, stis to mid 400s and evos can make nearly 500 on stock blocks, then supras of course are somewhere in the 7-800 territory before the factory bottom end has had enough. Mabye i shoulda bought a gt500. lol

 

yeah i had a a girl sit in the little hump in the middle, seems like she liked it.......... everybody was crushed in there legs folded, feet in the air, but everybody was all excited about been in the car lol. there was only 5 people in the car because that was the most i could fit, but there were like 8 that wanted to get in, jeje they had to get in another car too bad

 

I just had bolt ons and gears and i would always beat the STI's at the track, i would race one any time of the day.
