A buddy of mine just picked up an 07 Nissian Altima 3.5 v6 with 265HP stick. I have an 07 Mustang GT auto with no mods but an SLP loudmouth. He claims that since my car is an auto and his is a stick that he could take me. He does not have any mods yet and he wants to put some money down on who would win. He said the loser has to pay the gas bill of the winners for a month. As far as I am concerned I should kill him. I have yet to see his car in action and we plan on hooking the race up Friday night. Who do you think would win?

Most people in the more powerful 350z can't drive the car worth a **** so an s197 would rape them. The altima seems to be mising about 41 hp from the 350z so I think your chances are good. And if you win make him pay for your tuner CAI combo instead.

 

I was under the impression that the 3.5L in the Altima and the 350Z were pretty much the same engine, just rated differently according to price. Are they really that different?
My engine is the same as in the Corvette of the same year, but is rated at 40 fewer horses because of the huge disparity in sticker price.

 

I have been in a new altima coupe with the v6 and its nothing like the 350z, maybe it weighs more but that thing feel like a snail in comparison.
And tommy, there isn't some need to protect the 350z owners dick size like there was with the vette owners.Some people just couldn't handle the f-bodies having as much power as the vette, but i'm sure you know that.
